Signals from channels you join

Signals from broadcaster channels you have joined appear by themselves. What you can change about them, and what stays the broadcaster's.

When you join a broadcaster's channel, its signals appear in your list by themselves. There is nothing to create and no TradingView alert to set up. To join one, see Follow a broadcaster, or subscribe to one in the Marketplace: Signal channels in the Marketplace.

Where they appear

  • In Automation, under Signals: the tab on a phone, the switch at the top of the left column on a desktop. A channel's signals carry the tag BROADCAST, with the channel's name in square brackets. Signals from an Echo channel carry ECHO: What is Echo.

  • On the Signals page in the side menu, under Channel Subscription Signals, with the instruments each one trades.

They appear once your membership is active, not while it is still pending approval.

A channel's signal, with the broadcaster's name, its maximum and the accounts it trades

What you can change

You put them on accounts like any other signal: Put a signal on an account. For each account, you choose:

  • whether it trades the signal, and whether it is switched on;

  • the Instrument, from the ones the signal names, where it names them;

  • the Sizing: × Multiply signal, up to the signal's maximum where it has one (max ×3, for example, beside its name), or = Fixed contracts. See Sizing: multiply or fixed.

What stays the broadcaster's

  • When it trades. Its entries and exits come from the broadcaster, so there is no take profit or stop loss to set.

  • Its name, description and instruments. As the Signals page says, these are managed by the broadcaster.

  • It has no Webhook URL or Message, because nothing goes into TradingView.

To check your accounts follow it, fire it by hand from the test center. That trades only your own accounts, with real orders on a broker connection: Test a signal.

When you leave the channel

If you leave a channel, are removed from it, or your Marketplace subscription to it ends, the agents on its signals are switched off but kept. Activity says agent switched off for each, because you no longer subscribe to its signal, and the agent reads not subscribed. It can't be switched on again until you are a member of the channel again. Remove it if you won't be back.

A trade that is still open stays open at your broker, and no exit will come for it. Close it before you leave, or straight away if you were removed: Flatten and stop agents.
