Needs attention

What lands in Needs attention, and what Sign in again, Turn back on and Leave off do.

Needs attention lists what has gone wrong and needs you, and each item carries its own way out. On a phone it sits above whichever tab is open, and Home shows how many there are. On a desktop it heads the middle column above every view, and the top bar says how many need attention.

Needs attention: a connection to sign in again, and an agent that could not trade

A connection that is not signed in

It reads as the connection's name and its state, such as auth failed — check credentials. It keeps retrying on its own, and its accounts are not traded until it is back.

  • Sign in again asks for your broker Username and Password. Enter them and press Save.

  • Details opens the connection.

If it still fails, check the login on your broker's own platform: When a connection won't connect.

An agent that could not trade

It reads as could not trade — agent stopped, after the signal's name, with the reason beside it. This is an agent the service switched off, most often because your broker rejected an order. The service then closes that position, checks it is closed, and switches the agent off, so that nothing more is sent until you have looked. See Why an order was not placed.

An agent that got a signal while its connection was down can end up switched off too. Once the connection is back, it needs Turn back on.

Fix the cause first, then choose:

  • Turn back on switches the agent on again, so it takes the next signal. If it cannot go on, the card says why. When a stop loss is missing, Add one… opens the agent.

  • Leave off keeps the agent switched off and takes the card away. You can switch it on later from its account. If it fails again after that, the card comes back.

The service not answering

On a desktop, Service not responding leads the list, and Details opens the service. On a phone, a card on Home takes its place. See The service is not responding.

What does not land here

Nothing is broken in these, so nothing needs fixing:

  • An account that hit its Loss limit or Profit target. It says Locked for today on the account itself.

  • A connection waiting for the exchange while futures are shut. It signs in again on its own.
