Why an order was not placed

The safety rules that make the service skip a signal or close a position, how to recognise each one, and what to do.

When an account did not trade a signal, Activity says why.

Find the signal

Open Activity: a tab on a phone, the right-hand column on a desktop. Each signal has a card: open it for each account's answer.

No card means the service never received the signal. no agent follows this means no account has it switched on, and no answer that none answered within a minute.

Skipped on purpose

Nothing reached your broker.

  • nothing to reduce: a partial exit came for a position the account does not hold, perhaps because the service was off at the entry.

  • would increase: the partial exit was for the other side of your position.

  • already flat: a close-out arrived with nothing open.

  • just flattened: a TradingView strategy's partial exit came within 10 seconds of a close-out on that instrument. Entries still trade.

  • no quantity: the alert asked for 0 contracts.

  • another agent has it: another agent on this account holds this product until it is flat, whether mini or micro.

  • would hedge: it would oppose a position already held on this connection. Anti-hedging in Connection settings decides this.

  • daily limit: the account hit its Loss limit or Profit target, was flattened, and is Locked for today until 18:00 New York time.

  • account full: its Position cap is reached. Signals for what it already holds still trade.

  • expiring: the contract it holds is near expiry, so only exits trade until it is flat.

  • already there, would open, out of date: a strategy's position update needed nothing, would have opened from an exit, or came late.

  • connection off, connection down: the account's connection was switched off, or not connected, when the signal came. The line under it says which.

When it closes a position

  • If the strategy reverses and your account can't follow it across, the service goes flat instead.

  • If your broker rejects an order, the service closes that position, checks it is closed, and switches the agent off. Needs attention says the signal could not trade — agent stopped. Fix the cause, then press Turn back on or Leave off. If the reason ends POSITION NOT CONFIRMED CLOSED, CHECK THE BROKER, close it on your broker's platform now.

Not traded at all

  • The service was not Running, so the signal was missed.

  • The connection dropped while the order was on its way, so it was refused.

  • Its agent was off, or the signal is not on that account.
