When your prop account changes

You passed an evaluation, got a funded account or a reset: how the new account arrives, and what to move to it before the old one goes.

Prop firms often replace an account. An evaluation you pass becomes a funded account with a new id, and a reset or a new purchase can bring a new account too. Your agents and limits belong to the account, so they don't move by themselves.

The new account arrives

Your connection looks for new accounts at your firm every 10 minutes. To see it at once, open the connection's Connection settings and press Re-read accounts: Your accounts.

If your firm gave you a new login rather than a new account on the same login, add it as a connection of its own: Connect your broker.

Move your agents to it

Do this while the old account is still listed:

  1. In Automation, open the old account.

  2. Press Copy agents… on a desktop, or Copy agents to… on a phone.

  3. Tick the new account and press Copy.

  4. The copies are switched off. Check each one's size, then switch them on.

More about copying: Copy agents to other accounts.

Copying moves the agents, not the account's limits. Set the new account's Loss limit and Profit target, because a funded account usually has different rules from an evaluation: Daily loss limit and profit target.

The old account goes

Once your firm stops listing the old account, nothing more is sent to it. Its agents and limits are removed by themselves after about a quarter of an hour, or at once with the button on its page. So copy its agents before then.

Missed it? Put your signals on the new account again: Put a signal on an account.

Before the next session

  • The new account shows under its connection.

  • Its agents are switched on, at the size you want.

  • Its limits match your firm's rules for that account.
