Every agent has its own size. × Multiply signal follows the signal's own sizing at your ratio. = Fixed contracts holds one set number, whatever the signal trades.
Change the size
Press the agent's size, such as
MNQ ×1, to open its editor.Under Sizing, choose × Multiply signal or = Fixed contracts.
Set the number with − and +, or type it.
With × Multiply signal, choose the rounding beside the number.
Press SAVE CHANGES. It applies from the next signal.
× Multiply signal
The account trades the signal times your number, from ×0.1 to ×10 in steps of 0.1, such as ×0.5 or ×1.5. If the editor shows a line such as Max for this signal is ×5, a higher number is refused.
How it counts depends on the signal:
A TradingView strategy using the message from its signal's page, a channel's signal and a copied account all say what position they hold. The account holds that position times your number. At ×2, a strategy holding 3 means 6 here.
A TradingView indicator, and a test, only says buy or sell so many. Each order is multiplied on its own.
Rounding
When your number leaves part of a contract, the choice beside it decides the whole number:
Nearest (standard), how every agent starts: the closest whole contract, and a half rounds up. At ×0.5, a strategy holding 1, 2 or 3 means 1, 1 or 2. An order sent on its own, such as an indicator alert, rounds a fraction down and a multiple up instead: at ×0.5, an alert for 3 trades 1.
Round down: never more than your share. At ×1.5, 3 means 4.
Round up: never less than your share. At ×1.2, 2 means 3.
Whatever you choose, the account trades at least 1 contract while the signal is in a trade, so a small share still takes the first trade. After that, a small add can trade nothing until your share reaches the next contract. The ⓘ beside the rounding shows what each choice holds for 1 to 20 contracts before sizing. If your service hasn't been updated yet, it rounds the standard way until it is, and the editor says so.
= Fixed contracts
The account holds exactly that many contracts, long or short, whenever the signal is in a trade. At =2:
the entry opens 2;
adds trade nothing, because the account already holds 2, and Activity says already there;
a partial exit trades nothing either, and only the close-out closes the position;
a reversal goes straight to 2 on the other side: from long 2, it sells 4.
So =2 means at most 2 long or 2 short on that account, however often the strategy adds.
New accounts
On a signal's page, New accounts start with sets the size each account you tick starts at, in whole numbers. For a fraction, change the agent afterwards. How to tick accounts is in Put a signal on an account.
