Start and stop your service

How to start your service, how to stop it, and what stopping leaves open at your broker.

Your service watches your signals and places your orders. Nothing trades while it is off, and everything you set up is kept.

Start it the first time

Until your service has run once, Automation shows only Your service is not running.

  1. If it says First, confirm your email address, press SEND THE LINK, and press Confirm email address in the email. It brings you back here. See Confirm or change your email address.

  2. Check the name under Your service will be named, or type your own.

  3. Press START THE SERVICE.

It takes a minute or two to come up, and the page says when it is running and ready to trade.

Start it again

  • On a desktop, press START in the top bar.

  • On a phone, Home leads with Your service is not running: press START THE SERVICE. Or press ⋮ at the top and choose Start service.

If it says the service is still stopping, give it a moment and try again. If a late renewal stopped it, see When a renewal is late or your subscription ends.

Stop it

  1. On a desktop, press STOP in the top bar. On a phone, press ⋮ at the top, then Stop service.

  2. Confirm with STOP THE SERVICE.

Stopping closes nothing. Open positions stay open at your broker with nothing managing them, and signals that arrive while it is off are missed. To get flat first, use FLATTEN ALL on a desktop, or FLATTEN ALL & STOP AGENTS on a phone's Home. See Flatten and stop agents.

Stopping and starting it yourself keeps your service address, so there is nothing new to register with your prop firm. See Register your service address with your prop firm.
