How ClearEdge Automation works

What your service does for you, what you manage where, and what you need before you start.

ClearEdge Automation trades your signals for you. Your service runs in the ClearEdge cloud, so it keeps working when your browser is closed and your computer is off. The VPS is built in, so there is none to buy, and there is nothing to install.

What it does for you

  • A signal arrives: your own TradingView alert, a trade from a broadcaster whose channel you joined, a trade on one of your leader accounts, or an Echo order.

  • Every account you put that signal on trades it, at the size you chose. One signal on one account is called an agent.

  • Before each order, your service checks your account limits and its own safety rules.

  • Activity shows what happened to every signal, account by account, and why.

What you manage where

Everything is at my.clearedge.trading, in the side menu:

  • Automation is your service's own page: its status, your broker connections and accounts, which signals trade where, limits and open positions.

  • Signals is where you create your own TradingView signals and copy their webhook URL and message.

  • Subscriptions holds your subscription and your payment method.

  • Journal keeps your closed trades, and P&L Cards show how your day or month went.

Your alerts stay in TradingView, and your broker's or prop firm's own rules still apply.

On a desktop, Automation shows everything side by side. On a phone, it has tabs along the bottom: Home, Connections, Signals, Copy and Activity, then Help. See Using ClearEdge on your phone.

Before you start

  • A ClearEdge Automation subscription. It includes everything here, with no limit on agents or broker connections: What ClearEdge Automation costs.

  • A broker login for Tradovate, TopstepX or Rithmic. Only the Demo environment can be connected for now, which is where prop firm evaluations and funded accounts trade. Live is not switched on yet. To practise first, choose Simulated, which needs no login.

  • For your own signals, a TradingView account that can send webhook alerts. Signals from broadcaster channels you have joined appear by themselves.

Start safely

Your service places real orders at your broker. A loss from your automation is a real loss in your account, and a breach of your prop firm's rules is still a breach.

  1. Practise first on a Simulated account, where a mistake costs nothing: Practise with simulated accounts.

  2. Then start small on an evaluation, and raise the size once you trust it.

  3. Set each account's limits on the first day: Daily loss limit and profit target. Keep your broker's or prop firm's own risk settings on as well.

  4. Learn where the off switch is before you need it: Flatten and stop agents.

  5. In your first sessions, keep an eye on it, and on your broker's platform.

Something wrong, or awkward to use? Report a problem sends the team what they need to look at it: Report a problem. If an open position is at risk, don't wait for a reply: flatten it, stop your agents, and press Help.
